Fair Parade Draws

Perfect weather for
outside activities drew hundreds from Meade County to
Broadway and High Streets Sunday afternoon as the Meade
County Fair Parade slowly made its way down through the
downtown strip. Everything from classics cars to covered
wagons literally was seen in this year’s parade.
The winners include for the best float category went to
Brandenburg Telephone Company took first place, Christmas
By The River by the city officials took second place and
third place went to Fort Knox Federal Credit Union. The
best group entry was awarded to the Bartley’s “Circus
Train”.
Best Horse Drawn Vehicle went to Gary Barr for his covered
wagon entry. Best Dressed Horse and Rider was awarded to
Sue Snodgrass while Best Western Dress Horse and Rider was
awarded to Garrett Stephens. The Best Clown was awarded to
Lisa Bartley.
