Talent Show Showcases Youth

The spotlight was on Meade County Youth Sunday night at the Meade County Fair during the annual talent show. Various styles of music and acts assembled the talent of the three division competition.

The first place winner in division one was Isabella Galiez, second place went to the duo of Jake Beavin and Emma Wilson and Mary Kate Powers and Olivia Honaker came in third place. Madison Brown was named as the reserved placement for the state competition.

In the Division Two, Jennifer Whelan took the placement of Grand Champion followed by first runner up Allie Bruce, Rachel Harreld was named second runner up and Alicia Lee and Kacie Ingram was third runner up.

A quartet of guys won first place in Division Three, Jonathon McCoy, Josh Catrone, Mike Catrone, and Blake Cox took the top spot. Sarah Durbin came in second and was names as the reserve in the division while Brandy Childress placed third.

The winners from the local competition will go on to compete at the Coca Cola Talent Contest that will be held during the Kentucky State Fair next month.
