New Fair Court Crowned

A new homecoming court was crowned Monday night at the Meade County Fair. One of the biggest attractions of the fair is the Miss Meade County Fair Pageant which drew almost a packed house at the Farm Bureau Building, as eleven contestants competed for the top spot and the crown.

After the process of evening gown, swimsuit, and interview competitions; Sarah Adkisson was crowned Miss Meade County 2007.The rest of the Fair Court was seated with Julia Powers as First Runner-Up, Betsy Bruington as Second Runner-Up, and Kaelyn Burnett as Third Runner-Up.


07/23/07 SA		 Miss Meade County Sarah Adkisson started off her reign with a busy schedule as she was on hand for several of the events and also helped with money drawing.

She won $100 cash, $150 towards her wardrobe for the state pageant, plus a $250 scholarship to be awarded upon enrollment to college.

Adkisson will represent Meade County in the Miss Kentucky County Fair Pageant in January in Louisville.

Betsy Bruington also pickup the vote and title for People’s Choice while Megan McGehee was named Miss Congeniality.
