Demo Derby Highlights Fair

Local drivers got the opportunity to show off their
driving skills and mechanical ability as they competed
in the annual Demolition Derby at the Meade County
Fair.

The event was open to only local
contenders with the winners were able to walk away with
prize money and trophies.
The top place winners in the night’s feature contest were
Adam Foushee taking the first Place and $1,000. Second
Place went to Richie Hopkins who won $300 and Third Place
went to Brad Fackler who took home $100.

Heat 1:
Alex Hall # 67
Steven Waters # 99
Heat 2:
Daniel Benham # 101
Richie Hopkins # 11
Heat 3:
Adam Foushee # 2x
Jeremy Wilkins # 21x
Each of the winners of the Heat competitions won $50 and
trophies. In the Mini-Car Class the winners were:
1st Lee Miller # 8 won $300
2nd Billy Sipes # 25 won $200
3rd Richard Kelly # 33 won $100
4th JJ Scorborough won $75
5th Jeremy Compton # 22x won $50

Ray Hobbs # 11
Brad Fackler # 16x
David Lucas # 38
Craig Hardesty # 222
All of the winners received trophies in addition any other
winnings. Thursday night is the Open to the World
Demolition Derby at the Meade County Fair. The event
begins at 7:30pm in the Arena at the Meade County
Fairgrounds.
