Rain Dampers Fair Event

Mother Nature visited the Meade County Fair with the wrong
mix conditions for all of the events to pull on as
scheduled. The National Tractor Pullers Association Truck
and Tractor Pull was cancelled Friday night after a two
hour delay, due to several rounds of moderate rain showers
that passed through the area. The event is rescheduled for
Saturday afternoon at 4:30pm at the arena of the
fairgrounds.
Dave Pace Fair manager told WVIH.com News the decision was
reached due to the condition of the track and the concern
for the safety of the pullers, crew, and the crowd in
general. Pace said in the years of conducting the tractor
pull, the Fair Board prides it’s self in providing a safe
and quality pull and the boards members were concerned
about keeping it a safe event.
Since the event has been rescheduled, if you attend the
Meade County Fair on Saturday, you will get a double
feature of Tractor Pulling action as the series from
Friday night will be pulled at 4:30 Saturday afternoon
with Saturday night’s event set to begin immediately after
the makeup series is completed.
The weather is expected be improved before pull time
Saturday afternoon, conditions are forecasted to be partly
to mostly cloudy with temperatures in the mid 80’s.
