Stay Clear Of Flood Area
07/26/10 MRC/AP

Police are asking nonresidents and people not involved in cleanup and repair efforts to stay clear of the Pike County areas affected by flooding.

The Kentucky State Police has set up command centers in the Harless Creek and Raccoon areas, and asks for people to report any suspicious activity. The county was place under a nighttime curfew last week after law enforcement officials reported looting in one hard-hit area.

The county was declared a major disaster area on Friday, making federal funds available.
