Player Faces New Scam Charges
07/26/10 MRC/AP
Former University of Kentucky basketball player Ed Davender's sentencing in a ticket scam has been postponed because of a new charge he took money for tickets he didn't have.
Davender pleaded guilty in Fayette Circuit Court in May to 19 counts of taking money for UK men's basketball season tickets, but never producing them.
While awaiting sentencing on that case, Davender has been charged with taking money from a Louisville man but never producing 14 tickets to the 2010 Final Four.
Sentencing on the original case has been moved to August 27. His arraignment on the new charge is scheduled for August 10.
