Fiscal Court Takes Redo
03/02/10 WGC
Members of Meade County Fiscal Court met for a redo session on Tuesday morning to approve a resolution seeking grant funding for phase two of improvements to the Buttermilk Falls Recreational Trail.
The court had previously met last Thursday to approve the grant resolution but Judge Executive Harry Craycroft said that meeting was not a valid meeting due to the fact he had mistakenly started the meeting before the scheduled time. He apologized for the mistake and called Tuesday meeting to take care of the business for the county.
The resolution will be submitted along with an application that Tourism Director Russ Powell has already submitted for the project. The first phase of the project received grant funding which resurfaced the trail and allowed some improvements to signage and benches, to allow users of park to enjoy the trail better.
The court unanimously approved the resolution.
