03/03/10 WGC
A early morning accident in Brandenburg sent a teenager to the hospital.
According to Brandenburg Police, a green 1995 green Oldsmobile driven by 17 year-old Jesse Soderstorm of Brandenburg was crossing from Old State Road to Hill Street just before 8 am, when a white 1998 Chevrolet Monte Carlo driven by 17 year-old Courtney Duff of Brandenburg was traveling west on Broadway collided into the side of the car.
Both airbags went off upon impact causing Duff to veer to the right, striking a stop sign and a church sign at the intersection. Both vehicles suffered severe damage. Duff was taken to Hardin Memorial Hospital by Meade County EMS with non-life threatening injures. Soderstorm and a juvenile passenger were treated at the scene.
All of the teenagers were wearing their seatbelts.
The Meade County Sheriff’s Department assisted at the scene.
