Mildred L. Morris, age 90, of Brandenburg, died Monday, March 8, 2010, at her home.
She was born in Breckinridge County on May 7, 1919, the daughter of Walter and Beulah Harper Mattingly. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Morris, a son Guy Carter, a daughter Jean Thompson, and two grenadchildren.
She is survived by…
Four sons: Robert F. Morris of Brandenburg, Clarence Morris of Henderson, Alfred Morris of Marietta, Georgia, and David Morris of Foley, Alabama.
Seven daughters: Ruth Ann Watts of Robinson, Illinois, Doris Haynes of Henderson, Margie Hagan of San Antonio, Texas, Patty Robinson of Elizabethtown, Martha Beasley of Garfield, Sandy Drury of Mt. Washington, and Debbie Fox of Mt. Washington.
One brother: Willis Mattingly of Rowlett, Texas.
Two half brothers: Joe and Jimmy Martin both of Owensboro.
Four half sisters: Shirley Carpenter of Taft, California, Aliene Morris, Ruby McCarthy and Linda Blanton, all of Owensboro.
Twenty eight grandchildren, thirty great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at 1pm on Wednesday at the Hager Funeral Home in Brandenburg. Visitation will be from 5 until 8 pm on Tuesday and after 9 am Wednesday at the funeral home.
