Police have made contact with passengers who were on board a plane that landed in the Ohio River Wednesday afternoon.
According to Kentucky State Police, the plane landed in the river across from the Indiana Kentucky Electric Corporation in Indiana, at 5:06 p.m. Wednesday.
Emergency crews said a pilot and three passengers were on the plane at the time and no injuries were reported. The FAA is investigating the crash. Preliminary finding suggest that the plane hit something in the water upon take off causing it to overturn into the water upside down.
