Louisville Metro police say five people arrested on various charges in connection with a rash of auto thefts are part of a criminal syndicate.
The arrests were made at two locations on October 28. Police said there could be more arrests to come.
According to the arrest reports, 18 year-old Infante Shoulders, 18 year-old Antavis Dewayne Ford, 18 year-old Donqua Kevon Johnson, 18 year-old Zachary Keith Taylor and 20 year-old Charles R. Reese, all of Louisville, “acted in concert with more than five other people to maintain a criminal syndicate by participating in an ongoing series of auto thefts.”
In addition to the engaging in organized crime charge each man is facing, all are charged with a various number of counts of receiving stolen property. Taylor is also charged with the September 8 armed robbery of the Dollar General store at 3036 W. Broadway. His arrest report says Taylor admitted to the robbery and to the theft of a Ford F-150 pickup on September 30.
The five were arraigned Thursday morning and remain at Louisville Metro Corrections and will be back in court on November 9.
