Meade County police believe that a rolling argument and speed are factor of a accident last week. According to the Meade County Sheriff’s Department, the accident happened around Noon on Wednesday (10/28) afternoon.
Brandie McDaniels 34 of Mount Vernon, Illinois was driving a 2003 Mercury Grand Marquis east on Kentucky 1638 attempting to catch up to her boyfriend, who was driving her car. Both parties had just left Doe Valley Express less than a mile from the accident scene. McDaniels and her boyfriend had been arguing at the gas station.
McDaniels told police that as she was driving she began to slide and ran off of the roadway and struck and earth embankment before rolling over in a yard in the 500 block of Old Mill Road. The car came to a stop in near a wood line. McDaniels had to be extricated from the vehicle by the Meade County Fire Department. She was treated at the scene and then taken to University of Louisville Hospital by Meade County EMS.
The roadway was closed about 50 minutes as crews worked to clear up the accident.
