The Hardin County Gov¬ernment Building will be available for a public walk-through Monday, November 9, following a ceremonial ribbon cutting.
Residents will have that opportunity at 150 N. Provident Way following a 1 p.m. ribbon cutting. Tours of the $13.7 million, 60,000-square-foot facility will run through 6 p.m.
Tours will provide residents an insight to the building off Ring Road, which houses offices such as the county clerk, property valuation administration, sheriff’s office, engineering, planning and development commission, solid waste, finance, E-911 and judge-executive.
The new complex opened in September as several departments transitioned to the location from the R.R. Thomas County Government Building in downtown Elizabethtown.
