Police have learned what lead to a fatal crash on Louisville Road in Bowling Green Wednesday.
Police say Brad Weeks told them he drank six beers after getting off work and that he should have not been driving.
Police say witnesses told them Carolyn King had a green light turning out of North Gate shopping center when Weeks ran the red light.
Police say King was killed almost instantly and Weeks left his car, looked in, saw King, and fled on foot.
Weeks was found shortly after the crash and taken into custody.
Weeks is charged with murder, operating a motor vehicle under the influence, and leaving the scene of an accident/failure to render aid.
According to the police report, Weeks got a DUI in June of 2015.
