Skeletal remains found in a wooded area in Radcliff have been identified as the body of a woman missing for nearly 14 months.
The remains are of Lynn Marie Roberts, according to the state Medical Examiner’s Office in Louisville.
Radcliff Police Chief Jeff Cross said Roberts, who was 45 when she was last seen on Thanksgiving Day 2016, lived on Indiana Trail, less than a half mile from where the bones were found Tuesday afternoon off East Lincoln Trail Boulevard.
Cross said some clothing Roberts was last seen wearing November 24, 2016, and a purse also were found. When last seen, Roberts was wearing a pink “Cocoa Beach, Florida” hoodie. She also had a pink purse with the letter “R” on it.
Until further testing is done, he said authorities do not know how long Roberts had been dead.
Roberts was at her home on Indiana Trail with her mother, friends and relatives when she left after what police describe as a “mild argument or disagreement” around noon that day. She last was seen walking on the street.
