Elizabethtown police are seeking a second vehicle involved in the death of an Elizabethtown man after he was struck Monday night on East Dixie Avenue.
James Michael Dore II, 39, died at Hardin Memorial Hospital shortly after he was transported there.
According to Elizabethtown Police Department officials, Dore was crossing the road by Sullivan Auto Group near the intersection of Ky. 210 and East Dixie Avenue when he was struck by a northbound vehicle. After reviewing video surveillance and talking to witnesses, police determined Tuesday a southbound vehicle also was involved.
Police want to speak with the driver of the vehicle that didn’t stop. EPD spokesman John Thomas said the department has no information on model or make of the vehicle.
Thomas said they are asking for the public’s assistance in locating this vehicle, and also strongly encourages the involved party to come forward and cooperate with the investigation.
