The man accused of placing pieces of broken glass in drinking cups at a Horse Cave manufacturer has been sentenced.
Waylon J. Horton was sentenced to 60 months imprisonment followed by 2 years of supervised release for tampering with consumer products at Dart Container in July 2016.
Horton pleaded guilty in July 2018 to placing pieces of broken glass into Styrofoam drinking cups that were then shipped to fast food restaurants. Glass was found in cups at three different restaurants in Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana. Distribution of the cups was stopped and more broken glass was found in seven additional boxes.
