Officials continue their search for an inmate that ran off Sunday night from Warren County Regional Jail while taking out trash.
Officials say Benjamin Pedigo escaped while taking out trash with other inmates. According to Jailer Stephen Harmon, the inmates were under supervision.
Throughout Sunday night and into Monday morning, various local law enforcement agencies, Kentucky State Police, and jail staff including Jailer Harmon went knocking on doors looking for Pedigo.
According to Kentucky State Police, Pedigo has been entered into a nation-wide database as an escapee.
Jailer Harmon said Pedigo was sentenced just last month to four years behind bars. The jail website lists his charges, which include drug offenses and fleeing and evading police.
State Police say once Pedigo is found, he could face an escape 2nd degree charge, which is punishable by up to one year in prison.
Anyone with information concerning Pedigo whereabouts is asked to call 911 or Kentucky State Police at 270-782-2010.
