Two bodies were found in a house in Monroe County Sunday late afternoon, and police are calling this a double murder investigation.
Authorities responded to a home in the 2900 block of Oak Ridge Road in Monroe County near Fountain Run after someone located the bodies around 3 p.m. Sunday.
Police say this is now a multi-state investigation involving authorities in both Tennessee and Kentucky.
Inside the house, police found 20-year-old Trevor Cleary and 19-year-old Austin Copas dead from apparent gunshot wounds to the head.
The motive behind the brutal murders is unclear at this time.
While no suspects are in custody right now, police say the public does not have reason to fear as they believe the murders were isolated incidences.
