Twenty-six people were arrested Tuesday across Louisville as the FBI served several warrants related to a massive drug operation that led to a series of indictments charging 34 individuals.
Most of the defendants are Louisville residents. The others reside in southern Indiana.
Charges involve distributing methamphetamine and fentanyl, as well as gun charges.
Louisville Metro police and several other law enforcement agencies assisted the FBI in this operation, known as Operation Frozen River.
Indictment 1
Louisville residents 39 year-old Thomas Gunter, 37 year-old Desmond Allen, 49year-old Byron Mayes, 41 year-old David Carter, 31 year-old and Lauren Baum, along with 41 year-old Brandon Traughber, of Georgetown, Indiana, and 40 year-old Jason Hill, of Corydon, Indiana, were charged with one count of conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine. Prosecutors say they conspired to distribute 50 or more grams between January 2021 and August 2023.
Gunter is also charged with 10 counts of distributing 50 grams or more and one count of possessing a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime. Allen, Mayes, Baum and Hill were also charged with one count of distributing 50 grams or more.
Carter was also charged with four counts of distributing 50 grams or more and one count of possessing a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime.
Traughber was also charged with two counts of distributing 50 grams or more and one count of possessing a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime.
Indictment 2
Louisville residents 51 year-old Adrian Hamilton, 47 year-old Antonio O’Neal, 49 year-old Randall Dilley, 51 year-old Keith Dewayne Settles, 32 year-old Coy Tucker, 40 year-old Jaiquinton Wordlaw, 25 year-old Heather Boling, 38 year-old Dontray Bard, 54 year-old Todd Allgood and 21 year-old Imani Tennyson were charged with one count of conspiracy to distribute controlled substances. Authorities believe they conspired to distribute 50 grams or more of methamphetamine and 40 grams or more of a fentanyl mixture.
Hamilton and Tennyson were also charged with two counts of distributing 50 grams or more of methamphetamine. O’Neal was also charged with five counts of distributing 50 grams or more of methamphetamine.
Dilley was also charged with four counts of distributing a fentanyl mixture and three counts of distributing 50 grams or more of meth. Settles was also charged with three counts of distributing a fentanyl mixture.
Tucker is charged with six counts of distributing a fentanyl mixture and one count of distributing 50 grams or more of meth.
Wordlaw was also charged with one count of distributing 50 grams or more of methamphetamine. Boling was also charged with four counts of distributing a fentanyl mixture, two counts of distributing 50 grams or more of methamphetamine and one count of possessing a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime.
Bard was also charged with one count of distributing 50 grams or more of methamphetamine. Allgood was also charged with six counts of distributing a fentanyl mixture.
Indictment 3
Louisville residents 23 year-old Tomerriel Macklin Jr., 44 year-old Damon Fortney, 33 year-old Dominique Kinnard, 30 year-old Curnesha Smith, 26 year-old Derrik Goodman, 56 year-od Bruce Boerner, and 55 year-old Dawn Burns, along with 44 year-ol Dennis Rice, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, were charged with one count of conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine. Authorities believe they conspired to distribute 50 grams or more of meth between March and August 2023.
Rice, Macklin Jr. and Goodman were also each charged with three counts of distributing 50 grams or more of methamphetamine. Fortney was also charged with six counts of distributing 50 grams or more of methamphetamine and one count of possessing a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime.
Kinnard was also charged with one count of distributing 50 grams or more of methamphetamine. Smith was also charged with seven counts of distributing 50 grams or more of methamphetamine. Boerner was also charged with four counts of distributing 50 grams or more of methamphetamine.
Burns was also charged with five counts of distributing 50 grams or more of methamphetamine.
Indictment 4
Louisville residents 41 year-old Kendall Shaw, 45 year-old Jaron Collier, 41 year-old Ryan Mitchem, 46 year-old Saentay Sheard, 46 year-old Stephen Piercy, 51 year-old Sean Underwood, 33 year-old Christopher Shanahan, 48 year-old Jason Cheser and 35 year-old Lacy Elliot were all charged with one count of conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine. Authorities believe they conspired to distribute 50 grams or more of meth between January 2021 and August 2023.
Shaw was also charged with three counts of distributing 50 grams or more of methamphetamine and two counts of possessing a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime. Collier was also charged with two counts of distributing 50 grams or more of methamphetamine.
Mitchem and Sheard were also each charged with one count of distributing 50 grams or more of methamphetamine. Piercy was also charged with four counts of distributing 50 grams or more of methamphetamine and three counts of possessing a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime.
Underwood and Elliot were also each charged with one count of distributing 50 grams or more of methamphetamine and one count of possessing a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime. Shanahan was also charged with three counts of distributing 50 grams or more of methamphetamine and one count of possessing a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime.
Cheser was also charged with three counts of distributing 50 grams or more of methamphetamine.
Hill, Mayes, Bard, Wordlaw, Shanahan, Shaw, Kinnard and Boerner remain wanted. All other defendants are in custody.
