
The Hardin County Sheriff’s Office responded on October 28, 2025, to a report of suspected physical abuse involving an infant.
Detectives from the Criminal Investigations Division, in coordination with Child Protective Services, immediately began an investigation.
Over the past two weeks, investigators conducted interviews with the parents and medical professionals regarding the significant injuries sustained by the infant.
As a result of the investigation, 19 year-old Zachary Foster, of Elizabethtown, was arrested and charged under the Kentucky Revised Statute for Criminal Abuse 1st Degree – Child 12 or Under. He was lodged in the Hardin County Detention Center under a $10,000 cash bond and is scheduled to appear in court on November 13.
This remains an active and ongoing investigation.
