\nThe trial of a Radcliff man has been postponed due to the availability of an expert witness for the prosecution.<\/p>\n

Martin Lee Barrington, 22, was scheduled for a jury trial Monday which a judged postponed until February 6.<\/p>\n

Barring\u00adton is charged in a December 18 crash on North Logsdon Parkway that killed Derrick Cleveland Jr., 23, of Radcliff, who was a backseat passenger in Bar\u00adrington\u2019s vehicle. Cleveland was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene by the Hardin County Coroner\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n

Barrington is charged with driving more than 60 mph over the speed limit causing the wreck.<\/p>\n

Barrington and Cleve\u00adland were soldiers stationed at Fort Knox at the time of the crash. Charges against Barrington previously were upgraded from second-degree manslaughter to murder because of the rate of speed and because authorities suspected Bar\u00adring\u00adton was under the influence of intoxicants at the time.<\/p>\n

Stanley Crawford of Rad\u00adcliff, a front-seat passenger, also was injured in the crash. Barrington has been held in Har\u00addin County Detention Center in lieu of a $250,000 cash bond since his arrest.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
