\nThree people were cited after being observed by Kentucky Fish and Wildlife officer using a spotlight to night hunt in a field near Flaherty.<\/p>\n

On Saturday (12\/3) night, while patrolling Bee Knob Hill Road near Flaherty, a Conservation Officer observed a truck pulling into a corn field. After watching the truck driving through the corn field shining a spotlight, the officer made a stop of the vehicle as it was leaving the field. Inside the truck, the officer encountered three subjects, armed with two rifles and a shotgun. The driver of the truck had a loaded rifle in his lap. A spotlight and two flashlights were found in between the three occupants. A search of one passenger produced seven grams of methamphetamine.<\/p>\n

The driver was cited and arrested for use of artificial light (spotlighting) and illegal take\/pursue of wildlife. The first passenger was cited and arrested for use of artificial light, illegal take\/pursue of wildlife and possession of methamphetamine 1st degree. The second passenger, armed with a shotgun, was cited for use of artificial light and released. The Meade County Sheriff’s Department assisted with the investigation.<\/p>\n
