Kentucky Education Commissioner Stephen Pruitt announced the funding on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>State law requires the Kentucky Department of Education to cover the costs of the tests, but money has not been available. State officials have used federal grants in the past, but a new federal law eliminated that funding.
