\nOne man was arrested after him and two other people attempted to burglarize a Meade County home Wednesday (12\/28) morning. <\/p>\n

According to Meade County Sheriff Chief Deputy Jason Graham, deputies were called to a residence at 11770 Highway 60 around 7:37 am after the homeowner discovered his garage door open.<\/p>\n
The homeowner retrieved a firearm and went to investigate and confronted a man and held him at gunpoint and called Meade County E911. Officers arrived about eleven minutes after the receiving the call.<\/p>\n
Upon their arrival, officers found the homeowner holding a 23 year-old Jack Collinge on the ground at gunpoint. Deputies took control of the scene and searched the suspect. During the course of the search of the suspect, deputies retrieved a firearm from the suspects person.<\/p>\n
While investigating this call,Meade County E911 received another call of a theft of contents from three motor vehicles at 1212 Midway Road. Once at the second location, deputies determined some of the items that were unlawfully taken from this location were found to be on the suspect’s person from the first call on US 60 including the firearm.<\/p>\n
Collinge was arrested and was lodged in the Meade County Detention Center on charges of burglary first degree; carrying a concealed deadly weapon; theft by unlawful taking over $500; possession of burglary tools and two counts of receiving stolen property.<\/p>\n
Collinge was identified as a person of interest in a case in Hardin County and was identified as the person in surveillance video related to a shoplifting case from the Radcliff Walmart.<\/p>\n
On Thursday (12\/29) Meade County Deputies executed a Hardin County arrest warrant for receiving stolen property.<\/p>\n
