The charges returned Wednesday by a federal grand jury charge Kyle Goodlett with knowingly transporting child pornography and possession of child pornography. He will be released on a $25,000 unsecured bond once federal probation officers obtain a location monitoring device. He has a court date January 26 in U.S. District Court in Louisville.<\/p>\n
Court documents say Goodlett admitted to Kentucky State Police that he has an addiction to pornography. He also reportedly collected some images from cell phones confiscated from students as part of his employment as a school administrator, the documents state.<\/p>\n
Authorities inspected 36 pieces of equipment including an iPhone, iPad, laptop computer and various electronic storage devices, which the federal documents said Goodlett must forfeit. The court documents include descriptions of three images allegedly uploaded by Goodlett that featured naked children between ages 10 and 14.<\/p>\n
Arrested October 13 at his Elizabethtown residence, he has been charged with three counts of first offense distribution of matter portraying sexual performance by a minor plus 60 counts possession or viewing of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor. The case is pending in Hardin Circuit Court.<\/p>\n
He was discharged by the LaRue County Schools shortly after his arrest.
