Cardwell Antoine faces several charges after attack.<\/p><\/div>
\nAn Elizabethtown man is facing several charges including assault after an altercation with his girlfriend\u2019s relatives.<\/p>\n

Police say that 24 year-old Cardwell Antoine II became upset with his girlfriend over a situation.<\/p>\n

He left his work place and went to the female relative\u2019s house with car jack tool. When he found her on the couch, he tapped her on the head with the tool and when she attempted to sit up, Antoine began hitting her with the tire jack tool in the head. Police said the woman suffered serious injuries to her head, hands and left arm.<\/p>\n

Antoine also is said to have \u201cstomped\u201d on the woman\u2019s cellphone prior to leaving the residence, according to police.<\/p>\n

Antonie is charged with second-degree assault; second-degree burglary; and third-degree criminal mischief. He was lodged in the Hardin County Detention Center. <\/p>\n
