Murrell was assaulted by  57 year-old Gregory L. Shields, Sr. at the crime scene. Shields also lives in the residence.<\/p>\n<p>Samuel Murrell\u2019s wife, Maude Murrell, was in the house during the assault and told police Shields struck Mr. Murrell twice with his fists.
