Brian C. Woods, 33, of Radcliff, was arrested Tuesday night by Radcliff police for killing 32 year-old Maria Williams, a mother of four. There were no children at home when Williams was killed, according to police.<\/p>\n
An autopsy performed Wednesday morning in Louisville confirmed Williams was not pregnant at the time of her death, according to the Hardin County Deputy Coroner’s office. There had been speculation Tuesday that Williams may have been.<\/p>\n
Authorities believe Williams was killed sometime between Sunday night and Monday morning. She died from multiple blunt force trauma injuries to her body.<\/p>\n
Radcliff police had received a call from a family member regarding Williams’ whereabouts Tuesday and went to her home on Congress Drive where she was found. While Radcliff police were investigating at the crime scene, Woods walked into Radcliff Police Department headquarters and confessed to the slaying.<\/p>\n
Woods was questioned by authorities and arrested just before 10 p.m. Tuesday. Williams and Woods lived together.<\/p>\n
He is charged with murder and domestic violence and could face life in prison, if convicted.<\/p>\n
Williams had been reported missing earlier in the day.
