the Southeastern Cave Conservancy Inc., a non-profit organization dedicated to cave conservation, announced their purchase of the Daleo entrance to the Roppel section of Mammoth Cave.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The Daleo entrance is one of seven that is not located within the boundaries of Mammoth Cave National Park, and it is the only one owned by a conservancy.<\/p>\n<p>The entrance is a significant portal into much of the cave system, and the purchase is important in the overall goal of protecting the unique resources of the longest cave on earth.<br \/>\nSource:
