According to police, 52-year-old Samuel Edwards was arrested on April 22.<\/p>\n
They say Edwards was driving northbound on highway KY 61 back in March when he lost control of his car and left the shoulder of the road causing the car to flip multiple times before hitting a tree and coming to final rest in a pond.<\/p>\n
Police says Edwards and his passenger 45-year-old Alesha Morrison of Columbia were ejected from the vehicle.<\/p>\n
Officials pronounced Morrison dead at the scene.<\/p>\n
Edwards was flown to UK Medical Center.<\/p>\n
Edwards is being charged with murder, operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs and failure to maintain required insurance.
