Police were dispatched to the Greyhound station at 720 West Muhammad Ali Blvd. just before 12:30 p.m. Sunday on a report of a stabbing. <\/p>\n
According to arrest reports, the responding officers spotted 26 year-old John M. Gentuso of Nashville, Tennessee and 52 year-old Billy M. Finn of Louisville running from the scene holding knives. Both men were taken into custody. Police said each of them admitted stabbing a man during a verbal altercation.<\/p>\n
Police said the victim suffered five wounds and lost a lot of blood.<\/p>\n
Gentuso and Finn are charged with first-degree assault. <\/p>\n
A woman seen running from the scene of the stabbing, 29 year-old Ashley A. Finn of Nashville, was also arrested. Her arrest report states she was stopped by police at West Muhammad Ali Boulevard and 7th Street, where she told officers she had a weapon in one of her bags. A search of her bags turned up a handmade, straight-edged, metal knife, which police said they considered a deadly weapon. Officers also found suspected methamphetamine in a quantity that police believed was more than for personal use, meth pipes, and a type of needle commonly used to shoot up drugs.<\/p>\n
Ashley Finn was charged with trafficking in a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, carrying a concealed weapon, and giving police a false name.<\/p>\n
Her relationship to Billy Finn is unknown.
