The Grayson County Grand Jury indicted a couple who is accused in the April 1 murder of 66 year-old Robert Hayes.<\/p>\n

The grand jury indicted Chad Durbin on a murder charge, and indicted upgraded the charges complicity to commit murder against Durbin\u2019s former wife, Tiffany Durbin.<\/p>\n

Tiffany Durbin, the girlfriend of the victim, was originally charged with hindering prosecution or apprehension, tampering with physical evidence and abuse of a corpse. The hindering prosecution or apprehension charge was dropped by prosecutors in favor of the complicity charge.<\/p>\n

According to an arrest citation, 39-year-Chad Durbin admitted to shooting Hayes with a 9 mm handgun around Noon on April 1. Chad Durbin told police he shot Hayes in both the chest and face. Hayes\u2019 preliminary autopsy results indicate he was shot four times.<\/p>\n

In police statement, 35-year-old Tiffany Durbin said she was at the home she shared with Hayes, located at 942 Coy Drane Road, when she witnessed Chad Durbin shoot Hayes multiple times. She then left the residence, with Chad Durbin saying he\u2019d \u201ctake care of it.\u201d When she returned to the Coy Drane Road location later that day and Hayes\u2019 body was not there. Hayes\u2019 body was discovered on April 19, nearly three weeks after he was killed, in a trailer on Tiffany Durbins grandparents property.<\/p>\n

Chad Durbin pled not guilty to the murder charge at his May 9 arraignment. Tiffany Durbin is scheduled back in court for an arraignment on the upgraded charge on May 23.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
