\nThree people were injured Wednesday morning after a truck struck the rear of a buggy in Larue County.<\/p>\n

According to Kentucky State Police, a 2000 GMC Sierra, driven by 38 year-old Jerry Whitehead, was traveling North in the 12,000 block of South Dixie near Sonora when it struck the rear of an Amish buggy, also traveling North.<\/p>\n
Upon impact, 33 year-old Joe Gingerich, his 6 year-old daughter and 9 year-old son were ejected from the buggy.<\/p>\n
Joe Gingerich and his daughter were transported to Hardin Memorial Hospital with minor injuries. His 9 year old son was taken to Nortons Children\u2019s Hospital where he is listed in stable condition.<\/p>\n
The Gingerich\u2019s horse was euthanized at the scene.<\/p>\n
Kentucky State Police was assisted at the scene by Hardin County EMS, Sonora Fire Department and the Hardin County Sheriff\u2019s Department.<\/p>\n
