Green was indicted May 5 on 16 counts of first-degree official misconduct. A special prosecutor has been appointed to take over the case and Judge Chris Hollowell recused himself.<\/p>\n<p>The case stems from Green&#8217;s February decision to move several inmates from protective custody to general population cells, resulting in altercations between inmates. At least three inmates claim they were physically assaulted.<\/p>\n<p>Green&#8217;s attorney Jeremy Smith says there was no real procedure in place at the jail.
