\nA high speed pursuit resulted in a Irvington man being arrested over the weekend on multiple charges.<\/p>\n

According to the Breckinridge County Sheriff\u2019s Department, a deputy observed a 2004 Ford passenger car driven by 26 year-old Chris Probus of Irvington traveling on Highway 79 North headed toward Meade County, just before 9 pm Saturday (6\/24) night.<\/p>\n

Upon positive identification of the vehicle, the deputy attempted to make a traffic stop which Probus failed to stop for. The 25 minute pursuit began near Midway and traveled along Kentucky 144 north to Highway 259, and continued through Yellow Bank, Stephensport, to finally end on New Bethel Road in Breckinridge County.<\/p>\n

Probus was arrested on several felony warrants and additions charges of Fleeing or evading police first degree; wanton endangerment of a police officer, first degree; possession of handgun by convicted felon; and failure to wear a seat belt.<\/p>\n

A passenger identified as 37 year-old Brandy McFarland of Irvington was also arrested and charged with possession of a concealed deadly weapon. Both Probus and McFarland were lodged in the Breckinridge County Detention Center. McFarland was released Sunday on bond.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
