\nMuldraugh City Council met for their regular monthly meeting Monday evening with 5 members present.<\/p>\n

Police Chief Dale Harp told the council everything was going well in his department and Officer Tim Childs is scheduled to graduate from the Police Academy in Frankfort on August 11, at which time he will return to full time police duty.<\/p>\n

Fire Chief Danny Dresel advised the council the fire department will be participating in the Meade County Fair Parade on Sunday, July 23, and will provide fire protection for the Demo Derby again this year. He also advised there will be fire training at Meade County District Fire Department the last part of August or sometime in September. The date has not yet been scheduled.<\/p>\n

Public Works Supervisor Anthony Lee reported during the month of June there was over two million gallons infiltration into the sewer system. He told the council he will be providing figures each month and is preparing a chart he will hand out quarterly to show the amount of infiltration to make it easier for them to prepare for the expenses of maintaining and repairing the sewer system.<\/p>\n

Meade County Judege-Executive Gerry Lynn was present to discuss the proposed Interlocal Agreement between Meade County Fiscal Court and the City of Muldraugh concerning the E911 equipment upgrade for the county. Since the council members had just received a copy of the agreement, no vote was taken by the council. Meade County Fiscal Court is expected to vote on the agreement in their regular monthly meeting Tuesday (7\/11). The council will meet at a later date to vote on the agreement and Judge Lynn advised he would be happy to attend the meeting and answer any questions the council might have.<\/p>\n

The council voted to accept the bid of $6,800 from Home Comfort USA to repair the freezer in the kitchen of City Hall. The also voted to authorize Mayor Joseph Noon to obtain a loan for $6,800 for the repairs.<\/p>\n
