Logyn Corrie, 18, of Cecilia and Sean Ramsey, 45, of Elizabethtown were arrested inside a second floor room at Motel 6 on North Mulberry Street. Thomas Burden, 23, of East\u00adview and Kimberly Sumner, 46, of Elizabethtown were arrested in the motel parking lot, according to arrest citations.<\/p>\n
Elizabethtown police responded to the motel regarding a \u201csuspicious vehicle occupied by a male and female\u201d at the motel, according to an arrest citation. After receiving permission, officers searched a 2002 black Jaguar occupied by Burden and Sumner where they reportedly found marijuana and a clear plastic bag containing methamphetamine residue.<\/p>\n
Police also found a bag containing crystal methamphetamine in Sumner\u2019s possession.<\/p>\n
Authorities then went to a room at the motel after receiving information that Ramsey reportedly was selling meth and marijuana from the room. Ramsey and Corrie would not talk to police, according to a citation. After obtaining a search warrant, officers found crystal methamphetamine, marijuana and a \u201clarge quantity of clear plastic baggies\u201d in the room.<\/p>\n
Police also found $330 in cash on Ramsey.<\/p>\n
Burden, Corrie and Ramsey are charged with first offense, first-degree possession of a controlled substance \u2014 methamphetamine; possession of marijuana and pos\u00adsession of drug paraphernalia. Sumner is charged with first offense, first-degree possession of a controlled substance \u2014 methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.<\/p>\n
First offense, first-degree possession of a controlled substance \u2014 methamphetamine is a Class D felony punishable by one to three years in prison, if convicted.<\/p>\n
Ramsey and Sum\u00adner are being held in lieu of $5,000 cash bonds in the Hardin County Detention Center. Burden is being held in lieu of a $5,000 partially unsecured bond and Corrie was released on a $5,000 unsecured bond.<\/p>\n
All are scheduled to appear at 9 a.m. August 4 in Hardin District Court.
