According to witnesses Johnson attempted to pass multiple vehicles by going north in the south bound lane. A south bound 2006 Chrysler passenger car driven by 20 year-old Michael Cottrell attempted to avoid Johnson after he pulled into his path. The two vehicles struck head on.<\/p>\n<p>Johnson was ejected from the motorcycle. Johnson was airlifted to University of Louisville Hospital were he was pronounced dead at the hospital.
