\nThe raid of a family business has landed four people in jail.<\/p>\n

Four members of the same family face a number of charges after detectives claim they were responsible for distributing synthetic drugs to local smoke shops. Detectives describe it as a large scale operation. Black Voodoo being the main spice product of choice.<\/p>\n

Alvin Borowick, Kerry Borowick, Richard Borowick and Stacy Borowick were indicted by a grand jury in September. Their charges include criminal syndication, engaging in organized crime, unlawful use or investment of drug related income, criminal simulation in the first degree and trafficking in synthetic drugs.<\/p>\n

According to the indictment, they were repackaging synthetic drugs at a local warehouse, then selling and distributing their products.<\/p>\n

As part of the long-term investigation, a Louisville Metro Police Department detective states he purchased synthetic drugs from Kerry Borowick. Detectives obtained a search warrant at their place of business on Cane Run Road.<\/p>\n

Detectives have had their eyes on the Borowicks since March 2013, watching as Kerry allegedly made deliveries of spice to local smoke shops. They were also able to track a package full of spice back to the Borowick’s office from a UPS shipping label. Detectives claim the bulk of the spice was being stored inside a tractor trailer on a secluded lot near Cane Run Road and Miller\u2019s Lane, then taken to the warehouse on Cane Run Road for repackaging.<\/p>\n

Court documents state the Borowicks laundered drug money through their businesses named Bargains Galore, K&R Investments and Kentuckiana Lease Investments. The indictment claims they would invest the money into real estate and conduct commercial businesses transactions.<\/p>\n

The documents state Bargains Galore is a major distributor of retail drug paraphernalia.<\/p>\n

They are also accused of manufacturing products used to mask the detection of alcohol or drugs in a person\u2019s system.
