\nA Grayson County man has been arrested on suspicion of cruelty to animals.<\/p>\n

According to Grayson County Sheriff Norman Chaffins, 56 year-old Greg Rigdon of Leitchfield is charged with cruelty 2nd degree. The charge stemmed from a complaint received by the county Animal Control Officer last week of animals in distress.<\/p>\n

After a visit to the residence, the officer accompanied by a deputy returned to the property the following day, where four beagle pups were removed to the animal shelter, while a fifth dog who was near death was treated and is now in foster care.<\/p>\n

Rigdon was lodged in the Grayson County Detention Center with other charges pending as an investigation is on-going.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
