One was pronounced dead at the Medical Center in Bowling Green. Kentucky State Police described the wreckage as &#8220;mangled&#8221;. Police said there is a field of debris up to 200 feet wide.<\/p>\n<p>The Federal Aviation Administration the plane was a Piper PA32, went down at 2:21 p.m. It was headed toward Lake Cumberland Regional Airport in Somerset, Kentucky, which is about 80 miles away from the crash site. The wreckage of the plane was described as it looks to have hit some tree tops before being halted by one of the trees.<\/p>\n<p>State Police have set up about a 500-foot perimeter around the scene. The Barren County Coroner is on scene. The plane crashed near the Fountain Run area of Barren County. The FAA is also investigating the crash.
