\nThe manhunt continues for a Marion County man after he’s accused of shooting a Tennessee police officer and firing at Kentucky State Police.<\/p>\n

Police now have reason to believe that Floyd Ray Cook, 62, may not be alone.<\/p>\n

The FBI and the U.S. Marshal’s have joined in the hunt for Cook and the man that may be with him is 50 year-old Troy E. Wayne. Both men are from Marion County.<\/p>\n

Kentucky State Police have expanded their search for Cook statewide.<\/p>\n

On Saturday, police said Cook shot and injured an officer in Tennessee. About an hour later, a Kentucky State Police trooper got in a shootout with Cook near Lake Cumberland. The trooper was not hurt and Cook was able to get away on foot.<\/p>\n

Cumberland County Schools called off school on Tuesday for the second day in a row, while the manhunt continued.<\/p>\n

Since then, police have searched Marion and Taylor Counties.<\/p>\n

State police now have reason to be believe that Cook may have access to a beige colored 2006 Ford Ranger with KY license plate 8658GB.<\/p>\n

Cook has been convicted of rape and Kentucky State Police urge the public not to approach him and to immediately call 911 if you see him. He is considered armed and extremely dangerous.<\/p>\n

He was last seen wearing blue jeans and a green Carhartt style jacket.
