Radcliff Police Chief Jeff Cross said at least 20 burglaries of multiple businesses has been the act of at least two people, possibly more.<\/p>\n
Some of the businesses also have been burglarized multiple times.<\/p>\n
One business owner said all three of his businesses have been hit with an estimated loss of about $16,000.<\/p>\n
Vine Grove Police Chief Kenny Mattingly said a burglary at a home last month likely is connected to the Radcliff burglary spree.<\/p>\n
The burglaries have come in stretches, police say where there may be a few in one night and none for several days.<\/p>\n
Cross said it has been difficult to figure out where the next business to be burglarized would be. He said most of the businesses primarily have had cash stolen.<\/p>\n
Cross said the majority of the businesses hit are having their door glass broken as entry points.<\/p>\n
He said some of the businesses with alarms have scared off burglars. He said a rock will be thrown at a door or a crow bar is used and if an alarm sounds, there may only be a broken glass door and a rock in the area.<\/p>\n
