\nA Hardin County man faces child pornography charges as a result of an undercover Internet Crimes Against Children investigation.<\/p>\n

The Kentucky State Police Electronic Crime Branch, assisted by KSP Post 4-Elizabethtown, arrested 25 year-old Michael W. King Thursday (10\/29) evening for charges related to possession and distribution of matter portraying a sex performance by a minor.<\/p>\n

The KSP Electronic Crime Branch began the investigation after discovering the suspect sharing images of child sexual exploitation online. The images depicted prepubescent children engaged in sexual acts.<\/p>\n

The investigation resulted in the execution of a search warrant at King\u2019s residence on October 29, 2015. Equipment used to facilitate the crime was seized and taken to KSP\u2019s forensic laboratory for examination.<\/p>\n

King is currently charged with 20 counts of possession and three counts of distribution of matter portraying a sex performance by a minor. He was lodged in the Hardin County Detention Center. Each charge is a Class-D felony punishable by one to five years in prison.<\/p>\n
