According to Ohio County Sheriff Tracy Beatty, 30 year-old Adam Lacefield was arrested by the Grayson County Sheriff’s Department, after he was accused of kidnapping and robbing Noreen McCormick who is his girfriend’s mother. <\/p>\n
Police said on September 12, 2017, Lacefield and his girlfriend, Samantha McCormick entered Noreen McCormick\u2019s residence on El Retiro Lane in Ohio County and \u201crummaged through\u201d the residence searching for money. When Noreen McCormick intervened and threatened to call police, Lacefield held the older McCormick on the floor while Samantha McCormick threatened to physically harm her with a pellet gun if she did not give them money.<\/p>\n
On October 3, 24 year-old Samantha McCormick was arrested and charged with robbery, kidnapping, theft by unlawful taking, and terroristic threatening. She was lodged in the Ohio County Detention Center but has since been released from custody.<\/p>\n
Lacefield is charged with robbery, kidnapping, receiving stolen property, theft by unlawful taking, and being a persistent felony offender. He was lodged in the Grayson County Detention Center awaiting extradition back to Ohio County on a $50,000 bond.<\/p>\n
Lacefield was also arrested along with an accomplice in October for stealing a jet ski and trailer from the 2600 block of Blowtown Road. Lacefield and his accomplice were arrested in Leitchfield and were charged with receiving stolen property in that case.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
