George Michael Smith 36 of Lebanon, was traveling west with four juvenile passengers ages (4,2,1 year old females, 3 year old male) and a female passenger, Crystal Lynn Shipp 27 of Gravel Switch, in a 2004 Nissan minivan.<\/p>\n
Troopers determined the rear driver side tire blew causing the operator to lose control of the vehicle, causing it to cross the median and overturn in the eastbound passing lane. A 2012 Buick Enclave Michael C. Reed 51, Linda Reed 56, and their teenage daughter, all of Elizabethtown, was traveling in eastbound in the passing lane when their vehicle struck the rear of the overturned minivan.<\/p>\n
George Smith was taken to Hardin Memorial Hospital by ambulance and is listed in stable condition. Crystal Lynn Shipp was flown to University of Louisville Hospital and is listed in stable condition. The four year old female and the 3 year old male were both pronounced dead at the scene by the Hardin County Coroner’s Office. <\/p>\n
The 2 year old female was taken to Hardin Memorial Hospital and is listed in stable condition. The 1 year old female was airlifted to Kosair Children\u2019s Hospital and is listed in stable condition. Michael Reed, Linda Reed, and their teenage passenger were uninjured.
