\nAn Elizabethtown woman who was charged in connection to a 2001 homicide in Buffalo, pleaded guilty in LaRue Circuit Court on Monday.<\/p>\n

Samantha Kolley, 23, originally faced 11 charges from a burglary at a Buffalo residence on December 30, 2011, that resulted in the death of 28 year-old Kristie Lynne Allen.<\/p>\n

Investigators believed Kolley assisted 35 year-old Abdullah Rahman White of Radcliff in the burglary of the Buffalo residence. White was accused of asphyxiating Allen and was sentenced in June 2015 to 45 years in prison for her murder.<\/p>\n

Assistant Com\u00acmon\u00acwealth\u2019s Attorney Whitney Meredith recommended five years on each count of complicity to theft by unlawful taking-auto, complicity to receiving stolen property, first-degree hindering prosecution or apprehension and two counts of complicity of tampering with physical evidence.<\/p>\n

Each count will serve concurrently for a total of five years, but consecutively to the count of first-degree hindering prosecution or apprehension for a total of 10 years.<\/p>\n

The recommended time will be probated if she serves16 months in jail, has no contact with the family of Kristie Allen, has no further criminal offenses and pays all court costs and fees.<\/p>\n

As a result of the plea deal, the charges of theft by unlawful taking-auto, second-degree burglary and complicity to second-degree burglary, receiving stolen property and two counts of tampering with physical evidence all were dropped. Meredith said the burglary charge was dismissed because the prosecution had no evidence that Kolley was ever inside the burglarized house.
\nKolley formally will be sentenced in LaRue Circuit Court at 10 a.m. December 7.
