\nA Fordsville man led police in Grayson County on a foot pursuit for nearly an hour.<\/p>\n

A Grayson County Sheriff Deputy was looking for a vehicle from a wreckless driving complaint when he noticed a Pontiac Grand Prix traveling west on Hwy 62 and sped up and abruptly pulled into a private drive in Millwood. The Grand Prix which was not the vehicle the deputy was looking for. The deputy made a traffic stop on the Grand Prix and the driver, 30 year-old Mark Duncan, of Fordsville, exited the car and began walking away from the deputy. The deputy ordered Duncan back to his car and asked for his identification, as well as the female passenger\u2019s ID.<\/p>\n

Duncan state that he did not have any identification and proceeded to give the deputy a fake social security number. As the deputy went to his car to check the information, Duncan fled the scene on foot through a heavily wooded area. After a after a three-quarter-of-a-mile chase, the suspect crossed Hwy 62 with deputy bringing Duncan to the ground in a roadside drainage ditch. Duncan then resisted arrest by refusing to give the deputy his hands. The deputy forcibly brought the suspect under his control.<\/p>\n

Duncan had three outstanding warrants, two for failure to appear in Daviess and Christian Counties, with an Ohio County warrant for failure to pay fines associated with DUI and possession of a controlled substance convictions.<\/p>\n

Duncan was arrested and lodged in the Grayson County Detention Center where he\u2019s been charged with fleeing or evading police, driving on a DUI suspended license and giving an officer a false name.
